ISLAMABAD: A 5.4 magnitude earthquake jolted twin cities and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday.
According to geological wing of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), tremors measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Swat, Parachinar and surrounding areas.
People rushed out of their homes and shops in panic, however, no causality or property loss was reported from anywhere. The epicentre of the quake of was stated to be Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan, some 120 kilometres inside the earth crust.
