Following the beginning of the spring season, Hindu community on Thursday celebrated Holi across the country.
Holi is celebrated every year in February or March and signifies new beginnings – leaving behind winter and welcoming spring.
The festival of colours was also celebrated on the premises of the Sindh Assembly. Members of the assembly coat each other with colours to mark the festival.
In Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Holi was celebrated at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).
The leaders of different political parties also wished the Hindu community living in Pakistan on their religious festival. Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif wished the community peace and prosperity on the occasion.
