LAHORE: At least eight dead and more than fifty injured on Tuesday in rain-related incidents.
A heavy monsoon rain, which was recorded at over 280 millimeters (mm), hit the city and continued for at least 10 hours.

In some areas, citizens got stuck and in water and were recovered by using boats.
Moreover, a 20 feet deep and 200ft wide sinkhole appeared in front of General Post Office (GPO) on Mall Road. Another 50ft sinkhole appeared on the same road.
On the other hand, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Okara, Multan, Jhang, Chiniot, Peshawar, Mardan, and Islamabad also experienced a heavy rainfall.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted a heavy rain in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Kohat, Zhob, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, and Dera Ghazi Khan today.
