Barcelona captain Lionel Messi suffered a brutal broken-arm against Sevilla in Spanish league fixture on Sunday which will keep him out of action for three-weeks.
The Argentine superstar had an awkward fall and twisted his arm as he fell on the floor. It was evidently obvious that the injury was a serious one because Messi is not the kind of person to play-act.
The 31-year-old was in agony as he was taken out of the stadium to a hospital for tests, which revealed that Messi has a fracture on his right arm and that it would take 3-weeks to heal.
As soon as FC Barcelona’s Twitter account announced the news, fans and rivals alike shared messages of support and prayed for the little magician’s quick recovery.

Italian club Inter Milan, who will face Barcelona in UEFA Champions League group fixture at Camp Nou on Thursday, also offered support regretting that they would not be able to play against the ‘best’ in the world.

“We regret your injury and that you would not be able to play against us in the next few days. It’s always an honor to play against the best,” Inter’s Twitter for Spanish audiences tweeted.
If the little magician stays out of action for 3-weeks, he will miss a total of six games including the ones against Inter Milan (home and away), Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
The champions league fixture between Barca and Inter will start 12am Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
